- सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की इकाइयाँ मे. जेस्सोप्स, कोलकाता और भारत अर्थ मूव्हर्स लि. बेंगलुरु भी रेल कोचेस तथा विद्युत रेल इंजिनों का निर्माण करती हैं।
- रेलगाड़ियों के चक्के तथा धुरियाँ बेंगलुरु स्थित एक कारखाने में होती हैं।
- 1 जून 1969 को शुरू हुई दिल्ली से हावड़ा के बीच चलने वाली 19 जून 2002 भारत की पहली राजधानी एक्सप्रेस है।
- भारत की पहली जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस 16 अप्रैल 2002 को मुम्बई-मडगाँव के बीच चली थी। दूसरी जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस 19 जून 2002 को बिहार में पटना-कटिहार के बीच चलाई गई। लखनऊ से वाराणसी के बीच चलने वाली जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस भारत की तीसरी जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस है, जिसकी शुरुवात 27 जून 2002 को हुई थी।

RRB Admit Card 2015
RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) has issued admit card / hall ticket for the posts of Junior Engineer and Section Engineer. Candidates who have applied for the above mentioned positions must download their admit cards through the official website of RRB Online Registration : rrbonlinereg.in . The written examinations for the post of Junior Engineer and Section Engineer will be conducted from 22nd of August, 2015 to 5th of September, 2015. It is very important for the applicants to carry their admit cards with them at the time of written examination. Further details regarding the download of admit cards are given as under :

1). Candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Engineer and Section Engineer must visit through the official website of RRB Online Registration : rrbonlinereg.in .
2). After visiting the official website of RRB Online Registration candidates must log in by using their 'Candidates Login ID and Password.
3). Aspirants fill required details in the space provided and submit it accordingly.
4). Candidates will be able to download their admit cards after submitting all required details.
5). Applicants must take print out of their admit cards / hall tickets and carry it with them at the time of written examination.
